Ceremonies
Native American Sweat Lodge. We have many Sweat Lodges in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. They are usually held on Saturday nights. Two of the Tulsa area Lodges are "open" Lodges in which those who are not accustomed can learn as well as obtain both physical cleansing and spiritual cleansing and insight. They are scheduled for the first and second Saturdays of each month. The Sweat Lodge is also an opportunity for good fellowship and unique perspectives and insights on individual situations. The Sweats in this area are generally held on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of the month at around 7pm.
Robert is a Pipe Carrier for The People. The Sacred Pipe is a gift to The People to be used for special prayers. The head of the pipe is usually made of stone and represents our Earth Mother, the stem of the Pipe is made of wood which reaches for the Sky, representing the Creator and Father. The joining of the two is creation with the smoke being the breath of life. The prayers are carried to the Creator in the smoke. A Pipe Carrier is obligated to say prayers with the Pipe for anyone who needs prayers.
